Ross Baines, Christine Morrison and associates at Physioplus have offered a professional progressive physiotherapy service to residents of the Northern Rivers since 1990. In 2010 we welcomed Tony Morley who as an equal partner adds his energy and expertise to the services we offer. We look forward to helping you move well & stay well.

Ross Baines specializes in the treatment of sports injuries, manual / manipulative therapy for the spine and exercise rehabilitation. He has a particular interest in knee and shoulder instability and post operative rehabilitation, as well as physiotherapy & orthotic prescription for disorders of the foot and ankle. Ross has post graduate training in the assessment and treatment of positional vertigo and vestibular rehabilitation. With over 20 years clinical experience and 12 years as an Independent Physiotherapy Consultant to WorkCover NSW you can expect Ross to give you an accurate assessment of how physiotherapy can help you or what other treatment options may be appropriate for you.

Christine Morrison has a combined degree in physiotherapy and occupational therapy from UBC in Vancouver. Christine has post graduate training in women's health matters and the assessment and treatment of dancers. Christine has a lot of experience in rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery and is resourceful in sourcing equipment and working cooperatively to help older patients with orthopaedic and medical problems maximize their function and maintain independence.

With sporting interests covering cricket, football, tennis & triathlon, sailing & skiing and 3 daughters involved in dance, gymnastics and soccer we are sure to understand the demands of your sport.

As the preferred physiotherapist to several large local employers we know the importance of taking time to understand the demands of your work and communicating with your doctor and employer to ensure a safe return to work.

Our associate physiotherapists are committed to our mission to provide professional, progressive physiotherapy. All our physiotherapists are experienced in treating sports, orthopaedic, spinal and work related injuries. Our physiotherapists have all worked in hospitals and are experienced in the physiotherapy techniques that assist in the management of respiratory problems, neurological conditions and post operative rehabilitation.

Tony Morley has been treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions since graduating as a physiotherapist in 2002. He has a special interest in treating conditions of the spine and shoulder and is an Accredited Practitioner of the Sarah Key Method - an innovative approach to treating back pain. Tony also practices acupuncture for myofascial pain and runs spinal mobility classes at Physioplus. Surfing is a passion for Tony and a great excuse for him to travel.

Emile du Plessis has worked in private physiotherapy practice treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions since he graduated in 2000. Emile has practiced in South Africa and Canada. He has post graduate training in manual therapy & joint mobilization techniques. Emile practices acupuncture for myofascial pain. He has a special interest in cervicogenic headache, shoulder injuries and post surgical orthopedic rehabilitation. Emile enjoys the outdoors and participating in water sports.

Anne Fisher has practiced at Physioplus for over 7 years. Anne is interested in orthopedic physiotherapy. She practices acupuncture and provides our hydrotherapy service. Anne has post graduate training in dance physiotherapy and can help with dance assessments, treatment of dance injuries and rehabilitation.

Tim Boyd is an accredited Exercise Physiologist with 20 years experience in the health, fitness and rehabilitation fields. Tim has worked with a wide-range of patients in varied settings including physiotherapy practices, multi-disciplinary rehab centres, fitness facilities, and elite sports teams. He has a special interest in posture and its relation to pain and function, in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and conditioning and in movement as medicine for chronic disease management. Tim has a strong interest and background in sport and is also a committee member for the Australian Lifestyle Medicine Association. His time on weekends is spent coaching junior football, surfing with his sons, fishing, and enjoying a coffee and time with his wife.
